Center for Cultural Decontamination, together with the British Council and British Embassy in Belgrade request the pleasure of Your company at the panel-discussion on 200th birthday of Charles Dickens, as well as at the reception in honour of celebrating the 175 years of British-Serbian diplomatic relations on Tuesday, 7.2.2012, in CZKD, in Birčaninova 21, at 19:00h.


“Dickens 2012”
(
http://www.dickens2012.org/) is an international celebration of the life and work of Charles Dickens to mark the bicentenary of his birth. Theme of the panel session represents retrospect on social-economic engagement of his work, from “Oliver Twist” to “Great Expectations”, as well as drawing the parallel with social-economic challenges in Serbia, and in overall world nowadays.

Philology, University of Belgrade;
Teofil Pančić, journalist, columnist and literary critic;
Miroslav Zdravković, economist and analyst at the National Bank of Serbia;
